Hello, I’m Judy Illing | Clarity Guide
I’m a practical, curious person who has spent years helping people untangle ideas, find useful information and work out what to do next.
Over the years, I’ve worked across small business, retail, websites, digital technology, community projects and personal development. They might sound like very different worlds, but there has always been a common thread: helping people make sense of things and move forward with a little more confidence.
I’m not here to tell you what you should do. I’m much more likely to help you explore the possibilities, find the information you need and point you in the right direction.
A slightly winding path…
My own working life hasn’t followed one neat, straight line — and I’m rather glad it hasn’t.
I’ve been involved in businesses of my own, supported other small businesses, worked in retail, built websites, created digital resources and taken part in community projects. Along the way I’ve learned a lot about what helps people move forward — and quite a bit about what makes things unnecessarily complicated.
I’ve also experienced those times when life changes direction and you find yourself asking, “What now?” That’s one reason I’m particularly interested in helping people who are starting again, exploring something new or simply trying to make sense of their next step.
These days, rather than trying to squeeze everything I do into one job title, I bring those different strands together. I enjoy seeing the bigger picture, exploring ideas and finding practical ways to make things happen. Whether I’m creating resources, working on a website or helping someone find their next step, it’s all about making things a little clearer, simpler and more achievable.
A legacy close to my heart
One particularly meaningful part of my journey has been my friendship and shared work with Liz Bowers, founder of Future Intentions Yorkshire CIC.
Following Liz’s death in May 2026, I chose to continue Future Intentions for Women as a tribute to her vision and our shared belief that it’s never too late to explore new possibilities.
Today, it remains a special part of my work, offering books, guides and resources particularly for women over 50.

What matters to me
Whatever I’m working on, a few things matter to me.
I believe useful information should be understandable, technology should make life easier rather than more complicated, and nobody should be made to feel foolish for not knowing something.
I like practical solutions, plain English and giving people space to make their own decisions. I’m interested in possibilities rather than prescriptions — helping someone see what they could do, rather than telling them what they should do.
And I believe it’s never too late to learn something new, change direction or discover a new possibility.
